Mission: To promote the true spirit of the game of golf. To know the rules and etiquette of golf and obey them.

Meetings: The general meeting will be held the last Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. The first annual meeting will be held the last Wednesday of February. The last meeting of the year will be held on the third Wednesday of November at High Noon.

The Men's Golf Association is committed to the promotion and advancement of the game of golf at Athens Country Club. Its foundation is built upon the principles of inclusion, honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect and courtesy. Its purpose is to provide an enjoyable, competitive and equitable atmosphere for all who participate in the game of golf at our club.

Our challenging 18-hole golf course is enjoyable for the novice golfer as well as the more seasoned player. Active Men's & Women's Golf Associations sponsor tournaments throughout the year. Members may rent golf carts from the club or bring their own and pay a monthly trail fee. Golf lessons are provided by our golf professional. The putting green and driving range are convenient practice areas. To complete the links experience, the clubhouse provides a professional and trained pro shop staff, and a well stocked pro shop to meet golfers’ merchandising needs.

Practice Facilities
We have a large Tif Eagle putting green to help sharpen your putting skills. A chipping area is provided to allow practice in other areas of the short game. Our driving range provides an area for short- and long-iron practice. Our pro, Gaylord, Walden, offers lessons for both new and experienced golfers.

Pro Shop
Athens Country Club Pro Shop offers a large selection of Golf Merchandise from all top Golf manufactures such as Ping, Callaway , Titleist, Cobra , Nike , Footjoy .  Special Orders Welcome !   The Pro Shop offers a good selection of clothing featuring our own private label called the Athens Country Club Collection.
